Our Story

Whitney’s Jewellers was established in 1919 by the late Herb Whitney.


In 1955 Peter Carolan joined his grandfather Herb and Uncle, the late Bob Whitney at Whitney’s Jewellers. The trio built together a solid business of quality jewellery, giftware and watchmaking services.


Peter dedicated most of  his life to Whitney’s spending over 50 years in the business with his lovely wife Patsy. Their eye for detail teamed with their exceptional customer service further grew the business until their daughter Gina Brown joined the family business in 1995 & continued to provide exceptional products & outstanding customer service.


Together Gina, Staff & long serving jeweller Warren Brown each have their own area of expertise, together have over 100 years of industry experience!


Today Whitneys Jewellers is Dubbo City's longest established jewellers.
